igneous rocks (granite)

Igneous rocks
- Granites
One of the types of stones that have been used more in the construction industry in recent years are granites, which have been introduced as a luxury and expensive decorative stone.
These types of stones have found a special place for themselves in terms of high hardness, transparency and beauty. Granites that do not have alteration effects and are not affected by tectonic and especially microtectonic phenomena, and also have the required attractiveness in terms of color, are considered as decorative and facade stones.
You should know that the process of cutting and wearing granites is much more difficult and costly compared to limestone, so that only discs and special stones can cut and wear them.
Bright, red and pink granites are very valuable because of their color. The red granites of Khoy region in West Azerbaijan are a clear example of this type of granites. Gray granites have variable quality depending on the degree of darkness and lightness and the size of grains (minerals). Shirkoh granites in Yazd and Alvand in Hamadan have a wide variety of granites, with different colors and textures.
- Special igneous rocks
Nema rocks of special igneous type can be syenites, diorites, gabbros and their equivalent output rocks, i.e. trachytes, andesites, and basalts, as well as other rocks such as nepheline, syenites, peridotites, pyroxenites, and amphibolites. and other igneous rocks are of this kind.
These types of stones can be of interest as decorative stones if they are completely fresh and unaltered and show beautiful colors when polished.
